Now listed by Swift as an assessment provider in the directory of Swift Customer Security Programme (CSP) Certified Assessors, atsec information security assessors can help global financial institutes assess their level of compliance with the CSP mandatory and advisory controls. In the financial industry, Swift requires that financial institutes using its messaging platform be assessed by independent assessment providers to strengthen the security ecosystem surrounding its financial messaging services.

Created by Swift in 2024, this new Directory of Swift CSP Certified Assessors further helps financial institutes collaborate with Swift assessment providers in related regions. Additionally, the Swift CSP Assessor Certification raises the expertise of independent assessors and standardizes the CSP assessment methodology for a better alignment of the assessment scope and costs.

As a CSP assessment provider, atsec has met all the specific eligibility criteria, and its certified assessors passed the rigorous exam for Swift CSP assessor certification; this positions atsec to play a critical role in supporting and maintaining the security and integrity of Swift users.

atsec’s certified assessors can provide guidance on how well your security implementation complies with the multiple initiatives included in the CSP, as well as perform the formal assessment to demonstrate compliance. During the CSP assessment, atsec uses the standardized approach established by the certification programme combined with atsec’s own methodology, ensuring consistency in the evaluation of security controls across the Swift community and also different industries. This lets atsec determine an adequate assessment scope and a fair cost, giving organizations confidence that the assessment process aligns with Swift’s expectations.

The CSP Certified Assessors Directory is available on Swift’s website; as of August 1, 2024, the directory lists 30 assessment companies worldwide with certified CSP assessors.
